In today's dynamic work environment, effective collaboration is more important than ever. But what truly makes a team successful? The answer often lies in a deep understanding of ourselves and those we work with.

Have we considered how our perceptions, actions, and reactions shape our work environment and the way we interact and collaborate with one another?

Effective communication is crucial for conveying our messages clearly and ensuring our team is on the same page. However, there can often be a disconnect between what we intend to communicate and how it is actually understood by others. While we may believe that our message is straightforward, others might interpret it differently. This discrepancy arises because we often lack an objective view of ourselves and our communication. This impacts on the ability to collaborate effectively.

Get ready to explore, reflect, and engage, through a variety of short fun, impactful activities, as we unlock the potential of collaboration through a deeper understanding of the way you currently interact and bring out the best in others. The activities will bring a lot of different “a-ha” moments.

It goes without saying therefore that knowing yourself and knowing others in your team becomes an enabler of a cohesive and productive team.
    Objective
At the end of this workshop, you will:

    • Understand the 3 key "Psychological" obstacles which prevents effective communication; and how to address them
    • Understand how your mindset and internal GPS, affects an outcome
    • Understand how you personally communicate and work with others
    • Understand how you can use your ability to create an environment of success for yourself and within the team.
    Outline
Through team activities, games and videos, you will experience the following takeaways, which will change the way you communicate and collaborate in the future:

    • 3 key underlying reasons why people are mostly terrible at understanding each other, hence the confusion, misunderstanding, and conflicts that arise.

(Participants experience first-hand, 3 “Psychological barriers” that often leads to issues in communication through a variety of mini “a-ha” activities; and specific actions to reduce such misunderstandings.)

    • An awareness of where is your “Internal GPS” taking you at any point in time and the potential consequences of this, for yourself and others in the team.

(Participants check where their internal radar is taking them in different scenarios, because it dictates their focus and decision-making. Participants then discuss interestingly, the impact on their mindset and on productivity, when working as a team, as well as how they would act differently the next time.)

    • What is the part you play in creating an environment of success for yourself and your team?

(“5 Chair Team Formation Activity” – showcasing the value of clear communication, alignment and proactivity of each team member in achieving team goals. This is an activity which is packed with learning takeaways).

    • Wrapping Up

(Here, participants round up the learning of the day and discuss the different ways they could play a bigger part in enabling a more joyous and conducive work environment which values the contributions and leverages the strengths of each team member).
    Who should attend
The workshop is ideally suited for:
    • Team Members: Individuals who want to improve their interactions and work more effectively with their colleagues.
    • Managers and Leaders: Those who lead teams and are looking to foster a more collaborative and cohesive work environment.
    • Anyone Interested in Personal and Professional Growth: Individuals who are committed to personal development and improving their interpersonal skills.
    Methodology
You will be immersed in the entire learning system through games, activities, videos and group discussions to make sure the learning is interactive, experiential and is embedded in your consciousness and long-term memory.
